- What's my IP Address?
This small CGI script will display the IP address that you appear to come from. For example, most networks use "false" IPs (i.e. 10.X.X.X, or 192.168.X.X, etc.). These networks are not allowed/routed on the Internet. They are designated as "false IPs" intended for NATing. In order to communicate with the Internet you must use NAT (Network Address Translation) on a firewall or router. This will masquerade your false IPs as coming from your live/routed IP address (i.e. 216.20.X.X). MECnet uses this script to verify web content filtering, to test for properly enabled NAT, and to discover the live IP address that a customer uses. - Download Speed Test
To use this speed test simply download the 8 MB file. During the download process, look at the "Transfer rate" circled in blue as seen below. This is the speed at which your line is running. You should see speeds at about 150-170 Kbytes per second. Line speed can vary depending on the amount of traffic. Traffic is equally distributed. For example, if another user is downloading at the same time you are downloading, you will only see speeds between 75 and 85 Kbytes per second. If many users are online, the speeds will be even slower. This test is most effective in the evening when you can be certain T1 usage is at or near zero. Download Speed Test
